Franciscan Chapel Center

Our faith community is blessed to have a pleasant church in which to meet, a fine religious education program and other activities, and the service of dedicated staff and priests. However, as you realize, the church building needs constant maintenance and repair, the programs need funding, and the staff and priests need salaries for their daily living. The contributions of our parishioners and visitors are the only source of the money that keeps the Franciscan Chapel Center in operation. Your responsible and generous cooperation will be deeply appreciated.

A suggested amount for the weekly donation is the equivalent of one hour’s salary. Many parishioners with an hourly wage of JPY1000 or less give that whole amount, making a real sacrifice for the Lord. Many other parishioners are surely able and willing to give more.

When we finally believe that all the good things in life are from our Father in heaven, then we are willing and eager to repay Him by giving.

Registered parishioners are encouraged to use envelopes for making their donations to the Franciscan Chapel Center. Boxes of envelopes are available in the lobby of the church. Either cash or US dollar checks can be put in the envelopes and offered at Sunday Mass collections. On request an acknowledgement of your donations will be sent to you at the end of the year.

Tax exemptions: US dollar donations by check will be sent to the non-profit organization called Friends of the Franciscan Chapel Center Inc., which is authorized to give a U.S. tax exemption. The Friends of the Franciscan Chapel Center will acknowledge your total donations at the end of the year. Checks should be made payable to “Friends of the Franciscan Chapel Center, Inc.”, or simply “Friends of FCC”. Please do not make any checks payable to the Franciscan Chapel Center.
